Hey, I have some pretty exciting news… April 9th is the day my first book ‘Curses Come Home’ is being published (in the UK, but available on Amazon no matter where you are!).
I am obviously very excited about this, and I would love it if you could take the time to check out what it is all about. I have posted more information below, and if you think this is something that you would read, then please buy, share and spread the word.
If you enjoy reading it, then I would be incredibly grateful if you could take the time to go onto Amazon and post a good review. Those reviews are hugely impactful for new authors and new books, so it would really mean a lot to me.
I will have the Amazon link available via Facebook and on here on April 9th, but if you have any other questions, please let me know!
Here is more information about the book itself;
‘Curses Come Home’ is a collection of 8 short (and some not so short) stories about how technological advances have ways of unhinging us that could never have been imagined upon their creation. A modern day Twilight Zone, the short stories touch on frightening apps, reality TV shows and post-apocalyptic discoveries that leave the protagonist reeling and the reader with a niggling sense of unease long after they’ve finished reading.
Each story takes an existing app or reality to the next level, imaging a future world where technology is king and humans have become its plaything. Not set so far away that it is unrelateable, many stories touch close enough to daily life to be unnerving. In ‘Skeleton’s’ we see Reality TV taken to horrific extremes. In ‘Lips Like That’ a new twist on plastic surgery shows that some things will never change, and in ‘Virtual’, the dark side of Virtual reality is laid bare. Other stories touch on murder, bio-warfare and psychosis to give the reader a full spectrum of twisted tales.
If you loved Goosebumps as a kid, think of these stories as the grown up version!
